Carla and Hugo Lopez, originally from Sinaloa, Mexico,  began their journey with humble beginnings rooted in hard work and family values. Hugo’s first job was selling tacos from a taco truck, while Carla started preparing tacos for their children’s birthday parties. Friends and neighbors quickly noticed the flavor and care she put into her cooking, and before long they were asked to cater small gatherings, then events, agencies, and buffets.   Today, they proudly share the traditional flavors of Sinaloa passed down from their grandparents, using fresh ingredients like garlic, cilantro, and onion to create food made with care.

At Mi Favorito Lugar, the Lopez family hopes every guest feels that same warmth. Their goal is for people to stop in, enjoy a meal, and be reminded of home, childhood, and time spent around the table with loved ones. They want every customer to feel welcomed like family, creating not just a meal, but a memory. Through their hard work, traditions, and dedication to fresh, authentic flavors, Carla and Hugo continue to serve their community with the same family mindset that started their journey many years ago.
